Jacob Rott is a German social media star, model and musical artist who rose to fame on TikTok and is a member of the TikTok collective and boy band, Elevator Boys, with four other members. He has appeared on the covers of magazines like GQ Germany HYPE, Numéro Homme Berlin, Esquire Germany and Tush Magazine, and has appeared in L'Oréal Paris shows in 2022 and 2023.
Early Life
Jacob Rott completed his high school graduation from Johann Philipp Reis School in Friedberg. After graduation, he worked in construction in a group of five people from Romania. After spending three months abroad, he worked as a waiter and bartender in Nidderau. He later started studying business administration in Frankfurt.
Career
Jacob Rott was not very keen about taking pictures, but his father persuaded him to do it while they were on vacation in the Dominican Republic. An agent asked him several times if he was in an H&M advertisement, which he denied, but later applied to a modeling agency and started his modeling career. He started posting on Instagram on September 16, 2018 with a picture of him from Frankfurt, Germany. As a model, he has featured in the editorials of Versace ODDA Magazine and Dazed & Confused Korea, and has featured on the covers of GQ Germany HYPE, Numéro Homme Berlin, Esquire Germany and Tush Magazine.
Even after he started travelling a lot for his modeling work, whenever he returned home, he always paid a visit to the football field in Staden, be it to train or to just watch games. During one such visit to the football field at the onset of the corona pandemic, he tore his ligament and was no longer able to perform his duties as a waiter. This was the time when he started using TikTok with the intention of improving his interactions with the camera. His friends were skeptic about him wasting time on the app, but he had told them that he would have 100k followers within a month. He eventually amassed 200k followers within a very short period of time. Even though becoming an influencer was not a viable career option back then, he admits that his decision to start TikTok changed his life for the better.
