Boxing career

On August 1st, 2017, Joe Weller competed in a boxing match against fellow YouTuber Theo Baker at Underground Gym in East Sussex, he won the fight and show respect to Baker after the fight. 6 week later Weller challenged any YouTuber to a boxing match, which KSI responded on Instagram that he fight the winner.

Supposed hostilities between Weller and British YouTuber KSI began towards the end of 2017. Following public disagreements on Twitter and diss-tracks between the pair, they announced that they would host an amateur boxing match on 3 February 2018 at Copper Box Arena, London, to settle the feud. During the announcement, the pair confronted each other, Weller was mocked for his struggles with depression and his use of antidepressants by KSI, who later apologised.

Weller lost the fight 1 minute and 37 seconds into the third round by way of technical knockout. KSI expressed his respect for Weller after the fight for being "way harder, way tougher than I thought," and praised him for his commitment to raising awareness for mental health.

Joe Weller stated on his Twitter that he would be in LA and offered YouTubers for collaborations, which Jake Paul, responding to the tweet challenging him to a sparing match, which Weller agreed. The two eventually had a sparring match with Jake Paul knocking out Weller in the first round. Jake made a diss track on Joe for being late for the match, with Joe making a cameo in the music video. Joe also stated in his video of the match, that he would be retiring from boxing.

Controversy

Beef with KSI
In 2017, fellow YouTuber and former Sidemen member KSI got into a feud with Joe Weller's friend W2S. They uploaded diss tracks about one another on their respective YouTube channels. Subsequently, KSI created a poll for his audience about which Sidemen member he should fight; Weller won 62% of the vote.

Weller and KSI had some online beef of their own, uploading diss tracks to each other. They have officially booked a boxing match against each other; the match is scheduled for February 2018.

On September 10, 2017, Weller and KSI met for a press conference to promote their boxing match. Near the end, during their face-to-face confrontation, KSI talked trash to Weller and asked him, "Do you need drugs to stay sane?" Weller responded by asking him if he was "taking a piss at (people who suffer from depression)." After KSI apologized to anyone who was offended, Weller mentioned that his comments were made on World Suicide Prevention Day.

Personal Life
Joe Weller has one sister, Amy Weller, who is also on YouTube. He played in the Wembley Cup in 2015 and scored, but lost in the 2016 Wembley Cup (while captaining Weller Wanderers).
