Biography

Nadji Jeter is an American actor. He is best known for providing the voice and motion capture for Sam in the action-adventure video game The Last of Us and Miles Morales in several Marvel projects since 2017, most notably the Marvel's Spider-Man series by Insomniac Games.

Nadji Anthony Jeter was born on October 18, 1996, in Atlanta, Georgia. His talent for acting, dancing, and music has been noticed by his parents since he was young. In 2005, the nine-year-old Jeter performed as one of the dancers in Usher’s New Look Foundation Gala. He made his film debut in 2006 through a small role in “Dirty Laundry” and an uncredited role in “Beats Style and Flavor” before moving to Los Angeles in 2007 to pursue his career. Jeter also had another uncredited role in “Lower Learning” (2008).

In 2009, he starred as Jasper in the comedy film “Opposite Day.” He was the lead child actor in the 2010 “Grown Ups” as Andre McKenzie, a role that he plays alongside Kevin James, David Spade, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, and Salma Hayek. In the same year, he received the honor to co-host Usher’s Camp New Look Foundation, World Leadership Award, which was attended by former President Bill Clinton, Golfer Michelle Wie, as well as several other celebrities, including Justin Bieber. Jeter was the worldwide face of Coca Cola print ad campaign in 2011. He also starred in a B.E.T. sitcom “Reed Between the Lines” as Keenan Reynolds with Tracee Ellis Ross and Malcolm-Jamal Warner.

In 2013, Jeter reprised his role as Andre Mckenzie in “Grown Ups 2.” The year also marked the rise of his popularity as a voice actor when he was cast to play Sam in “The Last of Us,” a role that earned him the 2014 B.T.V.A. People’s Choice Voice Acting Award for Best Vocal Ensemble in a Video Game. From 2018 to 2020, Jeter became the voice actor and motion capture actor in what was probably his most iconic role to this day as Miles Morales in Marvel’s “Spider-Man” video games. His first appearance was in 2018’s “Marvel’s Spider-Man,” followed by the 2019 “Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order” and “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales” in 2020. The last one scored Jeter three nominations in 2020 and 2021, namely The Game Awards Nomination for Best Performance, BAFTA Games Award Nomination for Performer in a Leading Role and NAVGTR Award Nomination for Outstanding Performance in a Drama Lead. A fourth game, titled “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2” was slated for 2023.
