Robbi Jade Lew Background
Robbi Jade Lew was born in Saudi Arabia but moved to the United States with her family when she was only five. Lew graduated from college and forged a career for herself in the pharmaceutical industry. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Lew found she had more time to play poker and began devoting more and more time to it. She decided to become a professional poker player in April 2022.
Lew was involved in a now infamous high-stakes cash game hand involving Garrett Adelstein that resulted in Adelstein accusing Lew of cheating. Lew took a polygraph test, which showed she was telling the truth about not cheating.
Robbi Jade Lew Poker History
Robbi Jade Lew found herself with more spare time during the COVID-19 pandemic and spent much of it playing poker. Realizing she had a penchant for poker, she dedicated more time to learning the game's nuances and fell in love with it.
Lew's first recorded live poker tournament cash came in October 2021, when she finished in the money in a $400 Daily Deep Stack event in Las Vegas during the delayed 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP). She cashed in four more Daily Deep Stack events and two bracelet-awarding events: the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Double Stack and the $888 No Limit Hold'em Crazy Eights.
In April 2022, Lew decided to turn her poker-playing hobby into a profession. She enlisted Faraz Jaka, founder of the poker training site Jaka Coaching, as a coach ahead of the 2022 WSOP. Lew cashed four times at the 2022 WSOP, including in the $10,000 Main Event.
