Controversies | • Legal battle over property: In 2013, Sabah Galadari filed a lawsuit in the Bombay High Court against her former husband Adnan Sami, accusing him of occupying her house. She alleged that a part of Adnan Sami’s duplex house in Oberoi Sky Garden in Lokhanwala, Mumbai which consists of five flats on the 13th and 14th floor of the building, belongs to her. She claimed that in 2009, Adnan gifted her two flats, where he was living with his third wife. In 2014, the court took a decision in her favour and ordered Adnan Sami to vacate the house within two months; the court also ordered him to pay her a compensation of Rs 6.24 crores along with her share in the house. However, the singer later denied her claims over his house. [1] • Smuggling and Fraudulent cases: In 2012, Adnan Sami filed a complaint with Police Commissioner Mumbai against Sabah Galadari. In an interview, he talked about his complaint against Sabah and said that he had appealed to the authorities to investigate her fraudulent acts. He revealed that Sabah had two passports with a different dates of birth on them, on the basis of which, she received a pan card and Indian driving license. He further added that Sabah had a smuggling business in Dubai. |
