Sofía Gómez Uribe is a Colombian freediver and civil engineer. She has made several Pan American, South American and world records.

A freediver, she studied at the Inmaculado Corazón de María school, from which she graduated in 2008. Since she was 10 years old she has practiced aquatic sports, starting with Synchronized Swimming, a sport she practiced in 2001 and Finswimming, a discipline she has practiced since 2002. After finishing high school, she moved to Bogotá for a year and then settled in Medellín. Since then she competes for Antioquia. For 4 years she has practiced and competed in Apnea, a discipline she learned during a training session in which she reached 100 meters.

After a break in competitions due to global restrictions due to the COVID 19 pandemic, she returned to participate in the AIDA world championship where she placed fourth reaching 81 meters with bifins.
