Sol Pérez (José León Suárez, Buenos Aires Province, known simply as Sol Pérez, is an Argentine model, gymnast, journalist and television presenter. She is known for having been the weather presenter of the Sportia program on TyC Sports and a contestant on the Bailando por un sueño program in 2017 and 2018.
Biography
María Sol Pérez was born on July 16, 1993 in the city of José León Suárez, province of Buenos Aires. She is the second daughter of Claudia Pérez and Horacio Pérez. She has two brothers, Matías, the eldest, and Manuel, the youngest.
At the age of five she began to learn artistic gymnastics. She has also participated in volleyball, basketball, swimming and skating, the latter of which she continues to practice. As a result of this hobby, she has a tattoo on her back of a girl skating, which alludes to the first medal she won in a national tournament, in Mar del Plata.
After finishing her secondary studies, she decided to study law, in parallel with her media life. She studied for five years at the University of Buenos Aires, but due to scheduling complications, she is currently studying at the Universidad Siglo
Since October 2019, she has been in a relationship with businessman Guido Mazzoni.
Career
In 2014, she made her first appearance on television in the first season of the youth program Combate, where she was part of the red team. After having participated for a while, she decided to resign.
In January 2015, she returned to the entertainment cycle of Channel 9, as a member of the third generation. On that occasion, she not only competed, but also used to talk about fashion and was even chosen as the most flirtatious participant.11 However, the strong fights she had with a partner in the final stages of the competition led her to submit her resignation again.12 That same year, she played the role of secretary in the program "Uno contra uno", hosted by her uncle, Fabián Pérez.
In 2016, she worked as a weather presenter on the program Sportia, broadcast by TyC Sports. The young woman captured the attention of the public and received the nickname "The weather girl."14 The following year, she resigned due to internal conflicts with the company.
In 2017, after being a hit on social media, she was invited to participate in Bailando por un sueño 2017,16 where she was eliminated close to the semi-finals of the same reality show, taking fifth place in the contest broadcast by Showmatch.
In 2018 she made her debut as a panelist on the show Pampita Online.18 A short time later, after the departure of Pampita, the show's original host, she took the place of host of the same show, which was renamed Online.
In July 2018, she worked as a panelist on the entertainment program Los Especialistas del Show, broadcast by El Trece. In September of that same year, she again participated in Bailando 2018, where she was sentenced six times and eliminated Natalie Weber, finally being eliminated by María del Cerro and Facundo Mazzei, after three months of competition. Then, together with Nicolás Occhiato, she hosted the second edition of the Martín Fierro Digital Awards 2018.
During the summer of 2019 she was a reporter for Involucrados and Gente opinando. In March of that year she began hosting Gossip (previously called Online) with her colleagues Luis Piñeyro and Ángeles Balbiani. Later she joined Las Rubias and Involucrados as a panelist.
In January 2020, she participated in the reality show Divina Comida in which she came in 5th place. 27 In March also, she joined the panel of Incorrectas, a program hosted by Moria Casán, 28 although shortly after the program went off the air due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 29 In April of the same year, she joined the Canal 26 newscast as a host.
In 2021, she is part of the second season of the reality show MasterChef Celebrity Argentina, in which she was the 5th eliminated in March 31 but re-entered the competition thanks to the play-off in April.
As an actress
In the summer of 2018, she joined the cast of the play "La isla encantada", presented in Villa Carlos Paz, along with Marcelo Polino, Freddy Villareal, Pedro Alfonso, Carolina Papaleo, among others.
In July 2018, she made her film debut playing Jessica in the fifth film of the Bañeros saga, Lentos y cargasos, which received numerous negative reviews.34 In addition, she joined the play "Magnífica", along with comedian Bicho Gómez, Valeria Archimó and Federico Bal, among others.
In the summer season of 2019 she was part of the magazine "Nuevamente juntos" as the first vedette along with Carmen Barbieri, Santiago Bal, Micaela Viciconte and Federico Bal.
In the summer of 2020, he was part of the play "Veinte millones" alongside Carmen Barbieri, Marcelo de Bellis, Alberto Martin, Sebastián Almada and Mónica Farro, with whom he had several fights that eventually caused Pérez to leave the play.37 In November of that year, he starred alongside Hernán Drago and Nazareno Mottola in "Dos solteras post pandemia", a comedy play, broadcast via streaming.
