Tim Leach is a writer of historical fiction, specialising in the ancient world, unreliable source texts, and the crossover points between myth and history. His six published novels include The Last King of Lydia (shortlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize in 2013), and A Winter War (shortlisted for the 2022 HWA Gold Crown).

He is a graduate of the Warwick Writing Programme, where he teaches fiction writing as an Associate Professor.  Originally from Essex, he now lives in Sheffield.
