The actress was born on June 5, 1959, in the United States of America under the birth sign, Gemini. She was born and raised in a wealthy Philadelphia family. In addition, her father worked as a lawyer while her mother worked as a social worker. In addition, her mother was the center of attention for convincing Betty Ford to go public with her alcoholism.

Regarding his education, he graduated from the University of Virginia in 1980 with a degree in theater. In 1985, she returned to college to receive a business administration degree from Columbia University. However, he tried his hand at acting before joining college.
